SEPTEMBER 2006

The grand unveiling of Terry Anthony's latest painting - "The Dymchurch Gang" took place at The Court House, Dymchurch on Bank Holiday Monday - 28th August - the Day of Syn.
The painting was unveiled by comedian
Vic Reeves and auction man Michael Hogben and actually depicts Vic and Michael as well as local entrepreneur Jim Watson as members of the Scarecrow's smuggling gang. The painting is destined for Spartanburg in the USA which was where Russell Thorndike began his first novel about the much loved legend of Docyor Syn. Terry Anthony will also be presenting a selection of his works in the US as well as this painting. Jayl, Jimmie Bone & Dutch singer/songwriter Landa will be providing music for the show.

Romney Marsh singer/songwriters Jayl & Jimmie Bone were also at the Court House, where they provided musical accompaniment. After the unveiling, Terry and the boys visited the Kevin Crouch Memorial Garden on Dymchurch Station, which officially opened on the day.

Below are photographs of the day and press cuttings about the project .....

In the last few days, another song was written and recorded by Jayl & Andy Wood, who like Jayl, is a Princes Trust backed artist and the guitarist for the project. The song was inspired by Terry's painting - "Delivered" and will feature in the final CD booklet.
